WHAT IS

SHEPARDFEST

Shepardfest is the brain child of Raines Carr and Andrea McCook. Their mutual love of the works of Sam Shepard brought about the idea of creating the 1st annual festival dedicated to exploring and reexamining his life and works. They work to bring together theatrical professionals, academics, students, and the public to celebrate a great American’s life in art. Shepardfest is presented by Flagler College and their commitment to the arts community of NE Florida.

Shepardfest is a new annual festival where theatrical professionals, academics, students, and the public can come together to celebrate and explore the life and works of the great American playwright and actor, Sam Shepard.

Students will be able to put their studies into practice working with professionals to showcase their work and the college as a whole to a wider audience, creating future connections and a theatrical network throughout the US.
